SOUTHERN AFRICAN INSTITUTE OF STEEL CONSTRUCTION - Steel Awards 2020
We are proud to announce that one of our large projects for ABInBev, a new brewery in Sagamu, is being nominated at the Southern African Institute of Steel Construction - STEEL AWARDS 2020 among other iconic steel construction projects in Africa.
SAB Miller, prior to its takeover by ABInBev, identified the need for a new brewery in Nigeria and selected a site in Sagamu located approximately 60 km north-east of Lagos. The initial brewery size was for 1.8 mega hectolitres, however, shortly after commencing with the design work, the decision was made by ABInBev to proceed with design work for a revised capacity of 3.2 mega hectolitres.

Vita Construction Actively Supporting Industrial Training and Youth Service for University Students
At Vita Construction we are proud to be actively supporting recognised Industrial Training schemes for University Students in Nigeria. Here are some of the experiences shared from some of the students having their Industrial Training with us:
Olayemi: "The good standard and the structured management policies of Vita Construction, has broaden my knowledge in construction and prepared me towards attaining the standards of the civil engineering profession. In order words, it's been a priceless experience!"
Opeyemi: " My first time working with Vita Construction was in 2016, during my industrial attachment where I worked as an I.T Quantity Surveyor for 3 months. From my experience I immediately felt that here was a place where you can continually grow professionally, as the company is creating space for growth. There is always a new project, a new scope of work to learn from. For me, the company is known mainly for the quality of the work it delivers and I am privileged to be a part of this fantastic team!"

Staff Learning & Development
Staff in-house Learning & Development for Vita Construction Engineers and Quantity Surveyors. At Vita Construction one of our highest priorities is the development of our people, this month we have successfully completed a two day in- house training course provided from some of our long experienced staff. Knowledge and experience on industry best practice have been shared and discussed.

VITA Construction annual commitment to DRASA (DR. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh) Health Trust
Vita is proudly committed to annually support DRASA (DR. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh) Health Trust and the inspiring work it undertakes in Nigeria. DRASA Health Trust is currently scaling up a Health and Hygiene Awareness Program in secondary schools across Lagos state. The objective is to carry out targeted awareness and education campaigns aimed at behaviour change in school-age children.
Vita presented a donation to DRASA Health trust on the 1st of December 2018 as part of our Long Service Award Service Ceremony.
As a result of our donation, DRASA was able to buy supplies to facilitate the lesson and school activities. These supplies were needed to get DRASA Ambassadors to learn key health concepts related to drug abuse, hygiene, and antibiotic resistance. In turn, Ambassadors take forward these lessons to inform their circles of influence in school, at home, in their communities, and more.
The issues of drug abuse and antibiotic resistance are becoming a major global challenge so empowering the youth to not only understand the issues but also teach others how to prevent them, is a major step in the fight to keep people healthy.
VITA Construction's donation also helped support 6 Youth Trainers who are DRASA’s program staff implementing the curriculum, training, and activities in each school. Without these Youth Trainers, the program would not be able to have the impact that it does in reaching 300+ Ambassadors. They are the main points of contact for each school and they manage the Health and Hygiene Club meetings in their assigned schools.

Vita Construction proud to be an ISO Certified Construction Company in Nigeria
Vita Construction is delighted to announce that it is one of the proud construction companies in Nigeria to achieve certification to the 2015 versions of International Standards;
ISO 9001-"Quality Management Systems-Requirements" and ISO 14001 -"Environmental Management Systems- Requirements with guidance for use";
as well as certification to the British Standard OHSAS 18001:2007 -"Occupational Health and Safety Management - Requirements".
The certification has been achieved following an assessment process and audit in July 2017, led by TUV NORD.
Certification to these standards demonstrates that Vita has robust Quality Management Systems in place that enables the company to meet the needs of the construction industry, clients and other stakeholders.

Sponsorship of Olympic medalist
Vita Construction Ltd is proud to be one of the Sponsors of Pavlos Kontides, Silver Olympic Medalist in Sailing Laser Class. In July 2012 Pavlos saw the culmination of all his efforts at the London 2012 Summer Olympics, he won the silver medal. Pavlos wrote his name with golden letters in Cyprus history, by giving his country its first ever and long-desired Olympic medal. Pavlos will be competing at the next Summer Olympic Games in Brazil.
