I graduated from City University in London as a Civil Engineer, and I also hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Measurement and Condition of Contract. I was given the opportunity by the Chairman to join the company in February 1993 as a Project Manager. During that period, the organization secured a number of projects with British High Commission, Shell Petroleum and two private developments. I was then posted as a Project Manager for the Housing Scheme for British High Commission in Abuja.
Few months later, I was promoted to the position of Area Manager in Abuja and served for 2 years before I got further promotion when I assumed the position of General Manager in Lagos.
Being continuously supported and motivated by the Chairman, I became a Deputy Managing Director in April 2001 and a Managing Director of the company since January 2008, overseeing the operations in Nigeria.
Always guided by corporate principles and values, we have been able to execute multi-million contracts related to industrial developments, housing schemes and office blocks. We are very proud to be associated with valued or reputable Clients such as, Guinness Nigeria Plc, Nigeria Breweries (Heineken), Rite Foods, Ab-InBev, Nigerian Bottling Company (Coca Cola), Central Bank of Nigeria, Maersk, and West African Container Terminal. The growth of the company has been steady and always ascending. We have passed through some turbulent periods over the years, experiencing political instability, foreign exchange fluctuations, scarcity of basic materials and security related issues. However, having developed solid corporate principles and values, we have been able to sail through and establish a strong position in the Construction Industry. We have also witnessed major economic changes in the country such as the GSM technology within the telecom Industry, the banking industry transformation, the oil and gas revolution and the backward integration. As a result of the latter, the local content had to be promoted in the country and we have directly benefited in developing major industrial and agricultural projects.
In the course of discharging my duties within the organization, I am always guided by the passion to give the best service to our clients and offer the best quality product to suit their budget. We are an organization which is client centric, and this culture brings us closer to our Clients in terms of business relationship and as a result we have been able to enjoy cordial business relationship with our Clients for many years.
It would not be possible to reach where we are today without the full and undoubted loyalty of the people employed by the Company. Their total commitment, devotion, absolute professionalism, and their passion to see the company growing are one of our major strengths. With the effort of our top management professionals and the introduction of valuable software, we have established good systems and procedures which have led to more efficiency, cost savings, better quality, and timeous execution of projects.
Lastly, I am feeling proud of where the company stands today, and I am fully assured that we will continue operating in Nigeria for many more years.
